About the Instructor

Bill Graf is a professional fine artist and art instructor of Watercolor, Oil, and Acrylic painting classes.

"Bill's teaching philosophy is that every student equipped with the right tools and instruction can succeed and excel at painting. Bill uses demonstrations to explain his techniques for all the mediums he teaches. That way beginners and advanced students benefit by watching his approach to painting and learn technique tips to use in their own paintings."

His extensive art career(s) as a fine artist and illustrator began after completing his drawing and painting studies at the Art Students League of NYC. He then went on to study Old Masters Painting and Drawing in Florence, Italy at the Cecil Graves Studio. He has been the recipient of numerous awards from the International Miniature Portrait Show of Montreal, NYC Students Art League Figure Drawing 1st Prize, Huntington NY Arts Council, NY Nassau County Art Leagues 1st Prize, Best in Show and honorable mentions as well as awarded the Frank J. Reilly Scholarship Award to name a few. He was also ommissioned to do a mural project depicting an American history scene which is displayed in the White House, Washington DC.
