Alice Anasa

 

Alice currently teaches an all media Children's class on Fridays from 4:15p - 6:15pm. Ages 6 - 9

About the Instructor

Anasa is a graduate of Art and Design High School in NYC, where in her teens she also attended The Art Students League on Saturdays. She won the gold medal for fashion design at graduation. Her parents told her she loved to draw ever since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She used to design and make her own Barbie doll clothes when she was in elementary school. For her undergrad degree she attended Fashion Institute of Technology majoring in fashion design and minoring in textile design. She worked as a fashion designer and textile designer for many years, designing for several fashion houses and freelance work as well. She paints on silk using special dyes and techniques.

 

Alice went back to school to earn her masters degree and teaching license in art education. Alice has been an art teacher in the NYC public school system from 2007 to the present. She currently teaches the Children's Class, ages 6 - 9 at the NAL.
