About the Instructor

Howard Rose graduated from the School of Visual Arts and C.W. Post graduate school. He has studied with a number of well-known Metropolitan area artists. Howard has taught oil painting at C.W. Post and the Art League of L.I.

His articles on teaching techniques have appeared in The Artist‘s and American Artist magazines. Howard has taught workshops at Hudson Valley, Art Barge at the Hamptons and at Martha’s Vineyard.

His work has been in one-man and group exhibitions in galleries in Albertson, East Hampton, Southampton on Long Island.

"Composition is first. A few strokes can make a painting if the foundation is strong. Take risks. Painting can be fun."
