Class Description
This workshop is designed to bridge the gap between drawing and painting, teaching artists to think like painters while using charcoal or pencil. Participants will train their eyes to observe proportions, angles, and tonal relationships with precision, creating drawings that feel rich, expressive, and full of depth.

About Kevin Yen
Kevin came to the United States from Taiwan to pursue his fine art and illustration education. He studied painting, illustration, and photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has honed his skills over the years, specializing in creating captivating visuals that leave a lasting impression.
His artistic journey has been filled with inspiration, creativity, and dedication. From meticulously crafting each brushstroke to capturing the essence of a moment through his lens, Kevin's work reflects his passion for art and storytelling. Through his art, Kevin strives to connect with people on a deep level, evoking emotions and sparking conversations. He has over three decades of experience in the art industry which includes freelance work with Marvel and DC Comics. Kevin's artwork is sought after by private collectors, and some of his clients have been Pier One, St. Francis College, Nike, and Make-A-Wish.
