James LaMantia Comments: “Thank you for the opportunity to jury the 2020 National Art League Exhibition. While the pandemic affected how I physically viewed the works, it did not affect the quality of the art that was submitted. I was greatly impressed with the level of talent which made the jurying challenging. I was also pleasantly surprised with the range of work which pushed the limits of the mediums. Even breaking out past its edges on several occasions.

As a gallerist of 31 years, I am reminded daily of the role that art plays in our lives. Your submissions were not merely artistic creations, but I would argue that they have healing characteristics. Healing powers whereas people can escape the challenges that they are facing today. A place to find peace. Even if for a brief period.”
