Community Functions
The National Art League is a non-profit organization of professional artists, serious students and those interested in participating in and supporting the advancement ot the creative arts of drawing, painting and scultpure. We are open to the public and actively engage in supporting our community to promote the arts. Some of our past activities and functions include:
- Participation in the Douglaston Village Arts Festival
- Participation in the Zion Church Strawberry Festival
- Internship opportunities for high school students to volunteer their time and learn about the busines of running an art league
- Scholarship Award to graduating Cardozzo HS senior majoring in
art in college
- Collaborate with PS811Q school to exhibit artwork for special
needs students
- Free artist demonstration
- Annual art raffle presents an opportunity for the community to bid
on and win an original artwork donated by the artist members of
the League.
